Workshop sample sheet 3
During the making section of the workshop
- Initially leave the children alone for 5-10 minutes to think about what they want to do.
- Give them space to form their own ideas.
- Don’t ask questions such as ‘What is this?’
Questions to ask
Blue Hat (during and after the workshop)
- Can you tell me what you did to make this?
- How did you do this section/bit?
- What did you do first?
Yellow Hat
- What bit do you like best and why?
Green Hat
- What else could you do with this bit?
Red Hat
- How did you feel about making your monster?
- How does your monster make you feel?
If question
If for example a child has forgotten to put feet on their monster, instead of asking ‘where are your monsters feet’ you could instead ask ‘does your monster like to dance?’ Then the child can think for themselves about feet or no feet!
